The Discovery Profile is based on the theories of Carl Jung and Hippocrates before him, who first suggested that there may be four personality types when he noticed how his patients had different attitudes towards their ailments.
Jung developed those ideas much further and the Insights Discovery Profile maps his four ego-functions (thinking and feeling – how we make judgements, & intuition and sensation – how we perceive things) against an individual’s natural tendency towards extroversion or introversion
